OPTIM-ON was implemented at R.T. Recycling Trade SRL, a company with twenty years of experience in the waste management sector, headquartered in Calcinato, in the province of Brescia. The company represents an example of a business that has successfully combined operational excellence in its core sector with a concrete commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint of its activities.

As part of an energy transition pathway, R.T. Recycling Trade SRL has undertaken investments to modernize the energy infrastructure at its headquarters, installing a photovoltaic system for electricity generation from renewable sources, along with charging infrastructure dedicated to electric vehicles. To complete this sustainable ecosystem, the company has made an electric company vehicle available to its employees for business travel.

The decision to adopt OPTIM-ON arose from the need for an advanced tool capable of intelligently and automatically managing the interaction between the various components of the company's energy ecosystem. OPTIM-ON optimizes electric vehicle charging cycles through algorithms that maximize self-consumption of energy produced by the photovoltaic system and minimize overall energy costs at the site, considering tariff variations, production and consumption dynamics, and the mobility needs of electric vehicle users.

An additional significant element of the implementation lies in the monitoring functionalities offered by the platform. The user interface provides a detailed representation of corporate energy consumption, enabling real-time visualization of the use of the various available energy sources. The data collected and organized by OPTIM-ON also constitutes a valuable resource for calculating the environmental and energy performance indicators required for maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications.
